Actress Angelina Jolie attends the World premiere of "The Tourist" at Ziegfeld Theatre on December 6, 2010 in New York City.
It was apparent on Angelina Jolie's promotional tour for The Tourist that she prefers a very specific aesthetic. Black is her color of choice—although sometimes she'll switch it up with white or nude—in lean and classic silhouettes. Nothing too fancy or dramatic to create a clean, almost sparse, look.
It's not that Angelina doesn't look good. She could probably wear a potato sack and still be goddess-like. But she somewhat underwhelms on the red carpet. Angelina tells Vogue her look really stems from a need to be utilitarian and practical—the woman does have six kids, you know. She says:
I like to get up so every pair of pants goes with every top, every dress goes with every shoe. I've a very tiny closet. Brad's always laughing at me. Some days, yes, I have the nightgown that looks like a dress that I can sleep in and pick the kids up at school. And maybe take a meeting if I switch into heels.
One of these days, we'd love to see Angelina in something over the top and glamorous. What's your ideal outfit for Angie?
